This is an excellent example of an underground residence. The story of how it came about is both amazing and inspirational. You learn a lot about underground living and Coober Pedy. Three women creating this by hand. It needs to be seen to be believed.

A tour of the underground home built by Faye and the story of her life and that of two of her friends was interesting. Grant's knowledge of the lady and her mining exploits was first class.

Called in with people who knew Faye in her hey day. The guided tour was very informative & accurate. A great tribute to Faye’s life in Coober Pedy. The dugout is fantastic too.

This house has been left intact from when Faye left in 1982. It’s definitely worth a look to see how this remarkable woman lived with her friends. Our children did get bored on the tour.

On the recommendation of others we stopped in at Faye's Underground Home and did the tour along with a tour of her underground mine. The caretakers are so helpful and so informative, they gave us plenty of time to tour around both the home and...More

Really interesting house. Still as it was when it was first built in the 60's. Wonderful tour guide who was able to tell us lots about the house and it's owners

We think it was about $15 to see both the house and mine. Whatever it was - it was well worth it and I'd say it was a highlight of our trip to Coober Peedy. And do both - you won't regret it! And consider staying at... More
