We decided to check out the Guide Falls farm after going for a drive to check out the falls . Was a pleasant surprise, you can get food for the animals at reception for $1 a scoop and it is worth getting around $5 worth each as you will be feeding all the cute animals at the farm , especially... After reading several of the areas travel brochures we decided to visit the Guide Falls Alpaca Farm. We made our way there and even passed a sign tied to a fence only 400 metres from the entrance advertising the the farm and advising that there was a $10 entry fee (the brochure said $7). We arrive at the gate to... More

Can't wait to visit again, kids really enjoyed it. Make sure you get the fish food to feed the rainbow trout!

Owners have recently taken over and are revitalising the farm. There is plenty to see for kids and teenagers. They have pigs of different sizes which can be held (if you can catch them). Lots of chickens, Guinea pigs, goats, sheep, emu, variety of birds and some Rainbow Salmon. And of course Alpaca. It's very well priced at $10 and... More

Fantastic outing this afternoon to see the farm. Really great for families with young children, our 18 month old loved all the animals. Worth a stop in!

The Alpaca farm had a vast collection of animals, even though the weather was a little misty, we enjoy it immensely. They also had a lot of things made from the Alpaca wool, which was very unique.

Had a lovely visit here. The owner was very passionate and informative about Alpacas, and we learnt a lot about them and Lamas. It was also a novelty to lead "Elly" the Alpaca around while on the tour. The owner advised us that October is when most of his Alpacas give birth, so I imagine this would be an exciting... More

We stumbled across this lovely farm, when looking for something to do in the bad weather. For an entry fee of only $20 for the family, the owner spent at least a good hour walking us around his farm, teaching the kids about the animals (pigs, llama, a range of birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets etc.). The kids were allowed... More

Spent a few hours at the Alpaca Farm and had a great time. Phil, the owner, spent the entires time showing us through his amazing farm and collection of animals. I had the pleasure of walking Ally the Alpaca the entire time - an amazing experience. We were able to feed all the animals and Phil was a lovely man... More

One on one tour of a beautiful farm in West Ridgley, a short drive from Burnie. What a lifesaver! Not sure what to do with our 2 yr old and came across the park at the Burnie website. Our host, Phil, was a real character and provided a wonderful experience for the entire family. Well worth the trip and you... More
