Step inside Australia's oldest operating brewery, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mount Wellington, to learn how Cascade has been crafting beer since 1832. Our guides will share Cascade's fabled recipe; a dash of history, a healthy dose of Tasmania's finest ingredients and a generous serve of brewing craft. You can take a tour or just relax and enjoy Cascade beers and Mercury ciders, savour a delicious lunch and wander our three acres of heritage gardens.

The Visitor Centre is open 7 days a week between 10am - 5pm, excluding Good Friday and Christmas day and tours operate daily.

Nice to have a short visit before or after Mt Wellington. Last Brewery tour was finished by the time we got there, however, it was nice to see the Cascade building.. and taste beer onsite, kids loved the ribs and wedges.

There's nothing like a factory tour to while away a few hours - and what could be better than a beer factory tour?! It was a cold and rainy day in Hobart and the factory looks bleak and foreboding on the outside, reminiscent of an 18th century home for the criminally insane. The tour guide was great - bright, humorous... More

Spectacular location at the foot of Mt. Wellington, and very picturesque. Tour was scripted, but the tour guide (Lee) was so funny anyways it didn't matter. Food was surprisingly good (I had the curry chicken pie and chips afterwards) and there was enough good beer at the end of the tour to make the price worth it. For history buffs,... More

The Cascade Brewery is just beautiful to visit, with its character old buildings and heritage gardens. The restaurant overlooks the gardens with huge glass windows, so it allows you to enjoy them during any weather. We ate lunch here and really enjoyed the food as it suited the tasting paddle. It's a great place to enjoy beer and cider tasting,... More

Great to visit this historic site and brought to life by Lee, our guide, with his knowledge and great sense of humour. The beer tasting at the end was very generous and rounded of a great tour.
