Recently I visited the University for a specific purpose in a designated building and the experience was reasonably typical of most university visits. But what I loved was walking around the buildings which are often flanked by stately eucalypt and other healthy native trees. The time was around midday and so the sun warmed the natural oils of the trees... More

A conglomerate of buildings on both sides of the street reflecting mostly sixties architecture it is rather unspectacular and unless a specific visit is required not worth the effort for the tourist.

The university is closed on weekends and many places are locked. Human crowd is low. We went to the library to look around. Later did we find out that in order to enter the school library, we need to have an access card to enter, but just nice someone was exiting and the door opened, so we entered without knowing.... Very beautiful campus. Most of the buildings look fresh and up-to-date. The campus is along the harbour so there are some great views.

Very nice university, people want to help you do well. There are great areas to sit and study and quiet places as well. Well designed and easy access.

As a student, i enjoy my classes. More funding is needed and student representatives/TUU need to play a more comforting role in the studying assistance

If your contemplating studying here or joining the staff, you best read the art of war and the prince. Soe of the very worst of humanity work in this place. Soul destroying place!

I guess it depends on the faculties, they all vary enough to change the rating constantly. I found that it was very good in some faculties and just average and even mediocre in other departments. So, based on my experience I would be shifting between average and very good.

A pleasant campus with some wonderful views over the Derwent River. The style of buildings is eclectic and pretty uninteresting although the refurbishment of the library has made it quite attractive.
