Salamanca Market is one of Australia’s most loved outdoor markets and can be found every Saturday from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm, along the historic Salamanca Place, next to the Hobart waterfront. We found delicious food, artistic handmade jewelry, handcrafted timbers, handmade clothing, as well as vintage collectables, pottery, plants and flowers, and also UGG boots and lovely toy bears.... We had the chance to visit Salamanca Market in the week-end. This is a nice place to visit and to see handicrafts, local food, drinks, etc.

Geographical location is great and reeks of history, so impressive that everything sold here must be made locally in Tasmania. The quality of timber, jewelry, pottery etc is outstanding.

I tripped over this place this afternoon in the rain. It's just a row of outlets selling the usual tourist stuff. I went in a couple but nothing to write home about

We visited twice. It can take 2 hours to get around all the stalls initially. Interesting & unique products available. Good buskers to listen to.

Only had short visit but I thought the centre was terrific. Lots to look at, places to eat looked very inviting, arts and craft abound. Must return to catch the market day.

I didnt find that market as interesting as it was hyped up. If in Hobrat at that time, then might as well worth the stroll but not a thing to stay for.

After walking through the park to Salamanca I stopped by the Arts centre. Excellent range of arts and crafts on display. Worth a visit.
