I visited this area on a Friday night buzzing with bars and restaurants. On Saturday there are dozens of market stalls selling local and craft foods and goods. Friendly and some food stalls.

It's worth looking through all the little shops spread throughout the arts centre, it's great to see so many locally made arts and crafts on sale - although they can be a bit pricey. The theatre is small but good to perform in, and the gallery space is a good venue for workshops and other functions. The building itself is... More

I have been a couple of times at the Salamanca Arts Centre as I belong to the Writers Centre which is very close to the Arts Centre. Although it is an interesting place to wander around as there are many food, craft and clothing stores nearby, most of the crafts and arts are only good to look at but I... More

We wondered into the Arts Centre and found a fairyland (shop). The fairyland shop has nicely decorated walls and ceilings painted with fairytale features. Staff were dressed like fairies and the shop resonated with lots of pink colours and gifts that will interest kids. Staff offered fairy story-telling for a gold coin donation - some 15-20 mins. The Arts Centre... More
