Great!

Dylan was an amazing guide throughout the Great Ocean Road tour. He worked hard to understand what we were looking for and adapted the trip to our tastes. :)

We did extensive research to find the right private tour to experience a full day in Yarra Valley. Melbourne Private tours seemed like a perfect match. The sample itinerary was exactly what we were looking for. While the price was quite steep ($2000 for 5 people for 8 hours) the idea of having a private tour just for us in... More

We had three amazing days in Melbourne with our guide Jeff. He was fun to be with, had lots of interesting information and he was able to customize our tour to our interests. We started with a trip down the Great Ocean Road. We stopped for breakfast and a walk by the lighthouse, followed by a scenic drive with stops... More

We enjoyed a marvelous day along the Great Ocean Road with the perfect guide, Katie. A local to the area, Katie was an incredible resource. Her knowledge of everything Australian can not be overstated. More than her knowledge, Kaite distinguishes herself with a relentlessly positive attitude and ability to be flexible and make good decisions. She was the perfect companion... More

I did enjoy two day tours with MPT last weekend. Really worth it if you want to get a good taste of Melbourne and surroundings. I did the Great Ocean Road tour with Helmut and the Daylesford day tour with Brendan. Both great and knowledgeable! The Great Ocean Road is obviously a must. I would even more recommend the two-day... More

Spent the day touring Great Coastal Road with Simon from MPT and it was fantastic ! Simon knows all the secret spots - whether it's to find wildlife or have a delicious scone or fish pie! We did three tours with Brendan and had a great time. Very informative we thoroughly enjoyed the penguins, Great Ocean Rd and Yarra Valley. Vehicles were great, food was super on the Yarra Valley Tour and good on the other two although we would have paid a bit extra for an upgrade on the menu for the Great Ocean Rd... More

We enjoyed a private day long tour of Great Ocean Road with Jeff as our guide. The scenery is magnificent, exceeding the Oregon Coast for those familiar with that area. Jeff was a fantastic guide and we truly enjoyed spending the day with him as much as the incredible scenery he took us to. He also saved our trip when... More

Our first time in Melbourne couldn't possibly have been more fantastic, thanks to Jeff and Dillon! Two amazing days with two amazing private tour guides. First day with Jeff on the Yarra Valley tour was filled with walking, talking, food, wine and coffee. He introduced us to some of Melbourne's hidden treasures as well as "must see" sites. Extremely knowledgable... More

We had a great time at the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort with our daughters aged 9 and 11. This is our first visit to a snow resort so we took it easy with a bit of snow play and toboggan ride. John, our tour guide took good care of us and shared a lot of interesting information about Melbourne city,... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
