Wear athletic shoes, so you can easily particpate in the interactive section. It was fun to learn about Australian sports through participation.

What a surprise this place was. We did the MCG tour and decided to include a visit to the sports museum. It's a fantastic museum, covering a wide range of sports memorabilia and history including the olympics, afl, cricket, athletics. A great interactive section that young and old kids love.

A must see when visiting Melbourne. You get a great insight in to Australian Sport. Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time as it took us longer than we thought it would. We loved every bit of it. If you visit Melbourne, you simply must visit the MCG and Sports Museum, as well as take the tour of the MCG. It is full of impressive facts and views, not to mention the sporting artifacts

We bought a combo ticket that was for the Sports Museum and the Tour of the MCG. We thoroughly recommend it. The sports museum had a lot of memorabilia, I particularly loved all the antique sporting items, in particular the antiques in the Horse racing section. I definitely recommend this one.
