I have been to Melbourne many times and always enjoy a scroll at Chapel Street. I say everyone would find at least something interesting there. A must do while in Melbourne

Chapel St has been famed for visiting movie stars and sports stars to go to! It used to be the place to go to for fashions! However, the internet shopping has resulted much reduced numbers, thus feeling tough times in strip shopping and retail shops. However, I still prefer retail shops as I can try them on! In recent times,... More

I worked on Chapel Street for many years and I loved the eclectic nature of the place. Up near the Windsor end you have one set of clientelle and down at the Toorak Road end you have another - with everything in betwe en. Firstly, you will find any style of international and local food here. Some of is fast... More

Visit chapel street for some shopping and some food. Rather long. Great selection of clothing shops and places to eat and have a drink. It was a little disappointing to see so many empty shopfronts available for lease but don't let this put you off.

Sacred Heart Op Shop in East St Kilda (corner of Hotham and Inkerman Sts) is the best op shop I have ever been into. It stocks a great range of current clothing in good condition, excellent bric a brac, good range of books and prices are very reasonable. Most clothing seems to be between $5-$10 and books and CD's $3.... More

I love how many different store were here! So many that I have never been able to shop at and all located on the same street. It was a long walk, but very worth it.

Chapel street is a great insight into Melbourne culture. Fashion is at its most quirky and cool, lots of little cafes and food truck style pop up restaurants around ally ways. We saw the Lindt shop (pricey but good) and a whole bunch of stores!

Really nice area of the city. A great mix of shops, Restaurant's and bars. Was really busy when I visited in the build up the Xmas. Quite hard to find parking but worth the hassle. More of the famous "street art" that you see all over Melbourne too. Worth a visit.

A good street for shopping and bars and restaurants. Bus 8. The street leads to Prarhan Market and Commecial Road.
