I really enjoyed going to the outdoor cinema, although wasn't following the film fantastically. Big advice, get there early and hire yourself a long bean bag seat. About $20 each so not cheap once you had bought tickets and food/ drink etc, but so worth it! Lots of people who came in later were too late and were pretty stiff... More

This is a lovely experience if the weather is fine and you get a warm night! If not make sure you have plenty of warm clothes. You can take your own food and drinks which is good as the food can be pricey and the wait time can be long. It is worthwhile getting the upgrade to gold (or something... More

We went today Its an outdoor cinema so some things have to be expected . Helicopters flying overhead occasionally swams of fruit bats. That said its a good alternative night out. Picture quality very good / sound quality poor to average - really needed more speakers or louder for the quiet bits when other noises are happening. Get there early... More

We visited moonlight cinemas on valentines day 2016. I absolutely loved it ! I definitely recommend getting the gold grass package. It is a little more expensive but 100% worth it. Best seats, personally, are at the very front row towards the right side of the screen (as the screen faces more towards that way). Because the bean bags force... More

We go to the Moonlight Cinema every season and love it, we love the atmosphere of everyone having their picnics and drinks, overlooking a sensational view of Government House and CBD. We always take our own food as the lines can get busy, another tip is to arrive early, and yes you do line up but to get a great... More

We went to watch the Reverent on a Saturday night & were surprised that 2,000 other patrons were joining us. Felt a bit over crowded, with long queues to get in as only 2 people checking tickets. We waited 2hrs for the movie to start, & with no entertainment to keep us occupied felt like a long night. Only one... More

It was a lovely day but when that sun went down it got really cold. We took blankets, picnic, wine and low back chairs to be nice and comfy. You can hire beanbags but they seemed a little flat by what I could see if others. It gets full quickly so get there early so you aren't way up the... More

This was a fantastic night, watching an advance screening of "Brooklyn". Was able to use my cinebuzz card to redeem points for one free ticket and discount another. We hired "bean beds" (well worth the $9) and it was a first-rate night.

I always enjoy a movie under the stars at Moonlight Cinema. Its worth booking in advance as tickets often sell out for old favourites. We like to get there early and have a picnic first, grab a good spot and hire a bean bag, as there is never enough to go around. Green Grass is always a good option for... More

We've been to the moonlight cinema a few times and have loved it. Why? Because we got Gold Grass tickets and had bean bags and food served up to us. But yesterday we went out in a big group of friends and decided to do a picnic style in general admission. 1. The scanners weren't working so we had to... More
