Awesome!

Awesome place to spend a couple of hours. Well laid out and bigger then it looks. Loved the penguins and huge glass fronted tank. So relaxing......

We visited this attraction with two grandsons and they enjoyed every part of the visit. The path through the facility is well organised and there is good viewing for most exhibits. Of course the sharks and crocodile were very popular. Our grandsons enjoyed the interactive drawing activity where they could colour a sea creature and then scan it to see... More

I enjoyed this as much as my young children. The entire layout and design is wonderful, providing many unexpected surprises and opportunities to be interactive. Sharks are always a highlight for us, but we were equally thrilled with the eels (for some reason), the large variety of fish and that amazing crocodile. However, it was up on land, sleeping, so... Went on a Friday morning, not too crowded. 2 year old loved the fish and crocodile, very interactive. The only thing that lets this place down is the food in the cafe. Would recommend taking your own food especially if you have young children.

We went there with a friend in a wheelchair. The access and ability to get around was very easy and accessible. Greta position, in the city, with loads of public transport opportunities. Don't try to drive there - parking is very expensive & rare during the week.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Full of discovery and delight, Melbourne’s laneways tease the imagination long after you’ve put your weary feet up to rest. They weave through the heart of the city: cafes, bars, restaurants and boutiques, throbbing with conversation and espresso coffee. You never quite know what you’ll find around the next corner: cobblestone alleys, old beer barrel hoists and even vats of simmering organic soup. There is the air of Berlin in the street art, a touch of Paris in the umbrella-shaded cafes and, reminiscent of Rome, eateries tucked away in the most unlikely of places. Perhaps you might want a break and cross the Yarra River to Southbank - walk along the promenade, bask in the sun at a waterside bar and decide whether to go to the nearby casino or book a ticket at the Melbourne theatre company.
