After seeing this show on London's West End, I was really excited to see it coming to Australia. High expectations after seeing the UK version were exceeded by an amazingly talented cast. Callum Francis is a wonderful Lola, great voice, stage presence, comedic timing and boy can he dance in those stilettos! Toby Francis has the voice of an angel... More

Managed to get tickets for this 45 minutes before it started. In some ways it reminded me of the Rocky Horror Show, although it's a totally different story line. Yes I agree the theatre is a little dated, but I didn't go there to check out the architecture! The show is full on entertainment, lots of laughs and full in... More

Her Majesty's Theatre is a beautiful old building with loads of character, well suited to delivering productions of all genres. It definitely needs preserving as once these grand attractions have gone, they shall never be seen again.

We went to see Kinky Boots here this week. We were in the stalls row E, seats 17 & 18, so were literally right at the front of the stage just enough rows back that we didn't have to turn our heads up too high! It's such a shame that these older venues cater so poorly for womens toilets -... More

I know that's this building is very old and you need to preserve the uniqueness!!!! However! When you have a show that mainly attracts ladies I find it really appalling that there are only 14 toilets split into two locations that we can use! So that's just 7 seats per location!!!! Meaning that you end up missing the start of... More

Top class act, singing & dancing. The theatre itself was in central location, has good seating arrangement & good acoustic. Recommended to anyone who visits Melbourne & enjoys musicals.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Locals know that Chinatown is the tried and true place to eat before hitting the nightclub scene. The place simply buzzes, and the well-preserved buildings exude a sense of Imperial China stemming from immigration over a century ago. In restaurant after restaurant on Little Bourke Street, you'll find delicious dishes such as sizzling honeyed prawns, and value for your money. Stately matrons oversee family kitchens serving up age-old recipes. The lighting may be unromantic, the patrons loud, and the service no-nonsense, but the food is sensational.
