We have been watching Carols by Candlelight that are held here on TV for years so to actually be able to go down and climb onto the stage was just a dream come true. What a wonderful iconic attraction Melbourne has in this and we just loved it!

It is located in the Kings Domain Gardens and on the opposite side of the river to the various sporting facilities and if you are in the area such as walking the river or the Botanic Gardens it is worth a visit.. It is enhanced when there is a function on but worth seeing. as well as enjoying the parks... More

Beautifully located by the Yarra and the world famous Royal Melbourne Botanical Garden, you cannot find a better place to unwind and chill out to watch the night sky! Our yearly Carol by Candlelight is held here! The landscape is so well done that people just love sitting on the grass to watch the shows! Well planned indeed!

Very first time here. We saw City & Colour the band was outstanding. It was a stunning night, chilly but clear, the sound is amazing. The venue is relaxed, we sat on the hill and we didn't have a problem seeing the band. A highly recommended venue for any band, drink are well priced also.

Lovely area for concerts. The surrounding area is full of Park lands, with Melbourne CBD in the background. The Botanical Gardens are only a short walk away, as well. After a Concert the Myer Music Bowl is ideally situated in Melbourne for more advetures as everything is within walking distance.

Summer in Melbourne brings a series of free weekend concerts for the public, the venue this amphitheatre. On one program you might hear a short classical piece or two, excerpts from longer classical works, and maybe even a new work by a known composer. Another program might feature music of another genre. Arrive early if you want your choice of... More
