On a visit to a friend in hospital nearby we were attracted by the lovely bluestone exterior of part of the Church. On closer inspection we found out what an historical church this one is . St.Peters , Eastern Hill has been a Anglican Parish Church of the City of Melbourne since 1847. The earliest parts built were brick and... More

I attended a book fair here at the Church hall. I also went into the church which was quaint and had character. I was taken a back by the homeless person sleeping inside and let them sleep away. It has some lovely stained glass and the surroundings are well kept. Close by is St Patrick's.

Marking its 170th anniversary in 2016, St Peter's Church is tucked away opposite the mighty St Patrick's Cathedral. Nearby is the German Lutheran Church. The three making a holy trinity of historic churches. Walking into St Peter's is like walking into an old world Roman Catholic Church. You would have trouble distinguishing that is infact a High Anglican Church. Everything... More

St. Peters is a quaint small church across the street from St. Patrick's. It is one of the oldest churches in Melbourne founded in 1846. It is open during the day on most days so it gives you an opportunity to hang out in a beautiful atmosphere. I especially liked the cross inside the roof of the church. Highly recommend... More

St Peter's is an Anglican Church. It is opposite St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, not far from the Parliament of Victoria. St Peter's is known as High Church, or Anglo Catholic. In other words, he service is similar to a Roman Catholic Mass, The Church may may not be open during the week. St Peter's also has a bookshop. Visitors... More

Great church to visit not just for the architecture but for the church mass. The choir that sings here at 11am is a highlight. Very respected church due to amount of community social work undertaken. Very interesting walk you should do is checking out Parliament House,St Peters,St Patrick's ,Old Treasury Building and Fitzroy Gardens. After checking out Fitzroy Gardens you... More

St Peters's Eastern Hill is well known in Melbourne for its High Church liturgy. High Church liturgy resembles the Roman Catholics Mass. Indeed, There's a joke in Melbourne at if you want a real Mass, don't go to St Patrick's Roman Catholic Cathedral, go across the road to St Peter's.Eastern Hill. St Peter's is very easy to find and the... More
