Interesting exhibitions with activities for children, and loved the old original Courthouse section housing early Australian paintings. Great place to spend a couple of hours.

AWAG is pretty easy find as its easily accessed by the pedestrian Bridge from the Perth train Station at James Street Mall. There is plenty of Australian & European artists & collections on display as well as current exhibitions. I particularly loved the ' Cow Parade ' which is being held around the city & in the gallery. The Unknown... More

Great art gallery located in Perth city in the Perth cultural centre. Entry is free except some special exhibitions. Lots of great things to see but for us the highlight was the Centenary Galleries which contains landscapes and portraits. There are some amazing landscapes of Australia before cities were built. Also they're in a great old building which includes an... More

Arriving on an early flight my friend and I parked the car in a nearby carpark and found our way to the Gallery. Nicely located right on the edge of the CBD we called into the cafe first for a coffee and muffin before heading inside. Entry is free and this is a popular haunt for locals and visitors alike.... We visited the Art Gallery of Western Australia to get our dose of culture in Perth. We just did the free entry exhibits the Voices and Black Swan and both were great. There is lots to see and do here, we wished we had more time to explore the rest but we will have to come back another time.

This is a modem and contemporary gallery, subtle wall colouring and lighting provides a sense of space and perspective overall and particularly for the larger hangings. It's a delight! At times challenging which it must do, also vivid colourful, witty and piques curiosity .So much more to WA than I imagined!

Our Art Gallery is stunning. I think many such things are often overlooked for the more 'glitzy' tourist attractions. On offer are not just Australian artists but many of the best Europeans as well - and others. Can easily spend an hour or two enjoying what's on offer and then visit the great gift shop for a card, quirky gift... More

This if a great gallery to visit as it has not only Australian artists but many world artists. You can spend hours wandering around and the vast majority of exhibits are free.
