Went with a group of mates never been in one before. Had great time dressing up in suits and wearing ski gloves in middle of summer. Laughed the whole time. Staff were friendly as well.

Not worth the effort or price at all!! As a 21yr old I was unable to take my 17yr old brother in. I was also unable to use my government issued I.d. Only a passport was accepted. There are better ice houses to go without all the fuss and the high entry price.

Traveled with work, visited Freddy's Ice House. You pay, they give you all the gear you need to stay warm, I believe we had a set amount of time we were allowed to stay inside. There's some Ice sculptures, your mugs are made of ice and you can enjoy some alcoholic beverages inside. This was a neat experience, definitely check... More

It is situated at the Quay street which was quite close to our hotel, just walking distance. They provide you with a jacket and a pair of gloves before entering the ice house and serve you a drink of your choice inside. The staff is helpful. They help you clicking the pictures inside.

It's quite funny and different going from one weather extreme to another. Staff was friendly and helpful. The price. ..well a bit steep, but then it's a unique experience and we swallowed it, as you are not "every day" in Auckland.

We had such a great time at the ice bar! We went at about 10pm on a Saturday night, and surprisingly we were the only ones there! But it made it so much better could check everything out properly! It is a little pricey and the bar itself is quite small, but it is so worth it! You get a... More

Thank goodness for half price deals! Went with another expat family just before Christmas, and thought it would be fun to experience some UK style temperatures! They were very accommodating as our voucher was about to run out so they squeezed us in - but we had to BYO jackets for the teenagers as they had run out. Fortunately, we... More

We were gathering for a 21st - I had never heard of this place. We were all dressed in summer clothes - it was summer after all. Then we were given puff jackets and ski gloves - all a bit worn from so much use, there it was through two thick doors into - a freezer basically, with ice sculptures.... More
