For all the hype, this was a bit of a let down. The one bright spot was the Nottinghill Cafe, which was brilliant! Many upscale boutiques, and while maybe not name brands like those shops on Queen Street, still things are very expensive. Parnell is one of the most affluent areas in all of Auckland, if that tells you anything.... More

We jumped off here on the Ho Ho bus & enjoyed a quick browse around the shops, & an even quicker drink. Worth a visit.

Definitely my favourite area of Auckland, we walked about on a nice sunny day. Visited a few of the shops and cafes. Very relaxed atmosphere and pretty streets and houses.

Relaxing and lovely place. Lots of coffee shops, restaurants, boutique shops to browse around. The farmer and craft markets (once a week / month) are worth seeing.

We were on the hop on hop off bus so we decided to jump off here. It's a cute little town, but I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip there. We had lunch at a nice spot, and there are plenty of other lunch and shopping options in the town.

Thomson antique jewellery is the most amazing shop, bought some lovely things over the years, he will always clean the things you have bought. Outstanding value and wonderful to deal with.

a nice long shopping area, with a good variety of shops, including some lovely 'destination' places like the hatters and handbag shop.

Parnell, dating back to 1841, when Europeans first settled, is considered as Auckland’s oldest suburb. To the west is Auckland Domain, to the south is Newmarket and to the north is the now-reclaimed Mechanics Bay and the wharf areas. Running uphill from north to south Parnell Road and Parnell Village are the main areas of interest to tourists. Most of... More
