The Albert Park is behind the Auckland Art Gallery. It is a good idea to have a walk after a visit to the museum. There are beautiful trees and a lot of grass and sitting places. It's also a good picknick spot

On top of a hill, this lush park is resplendent with beautiful trees, flower gardens, statues, benches and green lawns. Perfect for picnics, relaxing, studying or just a chance to reconvene with nature, this lovely park is definitely worth a stroll.

From the central business district, climb the hill and enjoy a peaceful respite in a lovely park setting. Then take a walk through the university to see some interesting architecture in the Old Arts Building and Old Government House.

This is another pretty garden in Auckland. Although a little small, it is a pleasant oasis in the city.

This is a very nice park with interesting gardens fountains and statues. On a sunny day would be lovely as it was a bit drizzly on our day but still nice.

Found this lovely gem in the city. Well kept gardens, majestic trees and some nice city views. I was disheartened to see some graffiti and a sword removed from a statue. A nice break from the chaos.

Albert Park is a hugely attractive area in the middle of Auckland CBD and was originally created in 1880's. We entered the park from Victoria Street and walked up the steep track through mature trees until we reached the main part of the park which...More

I live in the Auckland CBD and this is my favorite park here. Huge huge trees that seem to stretch to infinity right in the middle of the city. The flowers and walkways are nice, but it is the trees that make this a must...More

Albert Park is on a hill in the city centre. You can see some of the surrounding buildings including the Sky Tower between the trees. June is winter here, and as the other posts indicate, it is cold but not freezing... More
