Whether you have a boat or if you are just traveling by one of the many ferries, you will not be disappointed with the Gulf. There's plenty of islands and bays you can swim in plus the fishing is fantastic.

Essential Auckland with its islands dotted around, and some easy to access with fast ferries, or watch the sailing boats

We took a ferry ride in the gulf and enjoyed our day. There are many islands in the gulf and iit was a sunny day there were sail boats everywhere. This is a perfect trip to get away from the city for awhile.

This is a must if in Auckland City. out on the Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari, or Waiheke Ferry, walk up to the top of Rangitoto Island. Take the Ferry to Coromandel, also TitiriMatangi.

This must be one of the loveliest places around. Big islands, little islands, great views of Auckland.
