I loved the Parnell Farmers Market on Saturday. NZ markets have more value added products than our farmers markets which sell mainly fresh produce. I was excited to read about the La Cigale French Market on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables, eggs, and flowers, the market offered giant pans of paella, made-to-orders crepes, syringe filled... More

Ahhh what a relief after noisy auckland center.a cosy relaxed sundaymorning sterts here with all the nice fresh products brought in by french foodlovers. Had a very good guitarist on the background ,a wine, late breakfast brunch. because of the severe rainshowers its a good place to stay when the wether is bad

We went to this market in Parnell for breakfast before going to the airport. Super fruit and veg for sale as well as foods from many countries, eg Turkish flat bread, hummus etc. I had the best granola ever for breakfast, full of fruit and nuts. Wonderful festive atmosphere with a violinist playing and many happy people.

Good market, fresh food but there aren't many options to eat. I've tried an organic juice, It was really good. The prices are expensive, I think. I,ve paid $12 for 1 big cup of juice. What is really cool is the square, where we can seat under the sun and listen some street artist.

La Cigale French Market is an Unique market. It open on Sat 8am-1:30pm and Sun 9am-1:30pm. I went there on Saturday morning. All the food look great. I like homemade bagels, Gözleme (Turkish flatbread) and a few more that I don't know the name. Wonderful live music I very enjoyed it there.

Came by early for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Despite it's relatively small size compared to other weekend markets that we had been to, La Cigale is a packed treasure trove. There were various stalls offering great coffee and food, ranging from paellas to pastries, sausages to honey and fresh produce. Our family easily found seats in the sheltered area to... More

Stumbled onto this market whilst in Auckland recently. Great place to buy food, eat there or browse and buy French antiques. I found some NZ made Limoncello cream liqueur in a 1.5 litre bottle to bring back to Australia Wow I need to go back and get some more. You will find a lot of little treasures here.Well worth a... Recently during a stay in Auckland we enjoyed a fabulous time at La Cigale French Market on Sunday morning. Indoors and outdoors there was absolutely every delectable morsel you could wish for. Fresh flowers to buy, trendy little stores, coffee and oh the food. We took home real Turkish bread for lunch and bought fabulous cheese knives. It had everything,... More

Staying in Parnell someone told us to check out this market - and we certainly weren't disappointed. Some great fresh produce, including beautiful bread and lovely looking paella. A couple of interesting shops doing clothes and 'french' interior decor. Nice to hear genuine French and Italian accents. Very buzzy with lots of locals obviously enjoying themselves. An excellent coffee and... More
