Went on a 5 hour tour on boat seen many dolphins 🐬 went through the hole in rock - finished of at a small island 🌴 had a Buffett bqe dinner 🍴 was delicious 😋

It is possible to see the harbour on several modes of travel. We chose the ferry. The weather was limiting the day we were there.

We stayed in a hotel overlooking the harbour. It was a great sight with a lot of activity and beautiful scenery. A must see place!

If you are staying in Piahai make sure you take the ferry over to Russell (15mins trip) for lunch. Its a beautiful little village with shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Very relaxing place to just sit down by the foreshore with a wine (or beer)...More

It's been 58 years since I've been here and boy has it changed. Almost as good as any small overseas tourist resort. Very friendly people, great scenery - could live here but wife says to far away

Sorry we were not there for New Years Eve - spent it in Auckland. Great fireworks there from the Sky Tower building!
