Famous for a reason, Skyline Rotorua is your ticket to an unforgettable holiday.

Begin your day with a tranquil Gondola ride up Mt Ngongotaha overlooking Lake Rotorua then wind your way down via the Luge or if you prefer to descend by mountain bike, weave your way through one of the newly created Gravity Park trails.

Get the adrenalin pumping even more on the Zoom Zipline and the Sky Swing. Or for a more relaxed approach take a stroll through the stunning nature trails with informative and interactive panels along the way.

Left feeling a little peckish? Head to the Food Market Kitchen or the Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar to fuel up again. While you’re there, why not also pop into the Volcanic Hills Wine Tasting Room and Winery while the kids explore the Jelly Belly Gallery and Store.

Finish the day with an out-of-this world experience during Skyline’s Stargazing tour. It’ll have you exploring constellations and discovering planets invisible to the naked eye, at one of the top eight stargazing locations in New Zealand.

The Skyline Rotorua complex is just 5 minutes’ drive from central Rotorua, sitting atop Mt Ngongotaha providing unsurpassed views of New Zealand’s coolest hot spot. This is an all-weather must do attraction suitable for all ages. Open 365 days a year from 9am to late.

We always have a great time at the Luge, this time round we included the Zipline which was fantastic. Best to arrive early during the school holidays as it can get very busy by lunchtime.

The Skyline is pretty much the same as other cable car rides in other cities. You could see a full view of Rotorua which was lovely. There is a BMX rough track which many people were using, a luge and a sling ride. We took part in the wine tasting that was available in the restaurant and the staff were... More

Awesome day out with the family. Relaxing skyline trip up the mountain followed by Luging back down. Poured down raining but was so much fun. Kids had a great time. Not too badly priced.

A couple of our friends had been to the Queenstown one and rated it so the 4 of us tried this one out. We were lucky that it was not too crowded and we only had to wait a max of 5 minutes or so for each luge ride. A great adrenalin rush!

Bit pricey - but worth it for the luge. Our 11 year old was hooked! The zip wire looked fun too. And it was great watching the mountain bikes. The cafe is crap though. Food is nasty fried and not well presented. Shop is overpriced for tourists.

Our teenager would say this was an essential stop on our island tour. We opted for the gondola ride plus 3 rides on the luge per person. Whilst the luge itself was brilliant (long tracks, great views, high speeds possible) the queues were ridiculous. Between 25-35 minutes for each ride. Spent most of the time queueing.
