We only had a short time to explore this amazing park due to another tour but the views are stunning. Has a resemblance of Yellowstone in the states. The park does have busses that can take and pick you up to and from certain locations...More

We went on a guided tour but don't think a guide is really needed as there are plenty of signs explaining the different locations. The really nice part is that there is a hike down to see the different sights but at the bottom is...More

I went early in the morning, arriving at 9 ish so due to the temperature it was very steamy but that doesn't spoil the splendour of the park. The trails winds for about a mile and half following a valley to Lake Rotomahana. There's pools,...More

It was really good, lovely forests, beautiful lakes and streams, lots of thermal activity, and you will be glad there is a bus to take you back to the start. Souvenirs were reasonably priced, lady in shop was great. It is the Waimangu volcanic valley.

Lovely and relaxed - away from the crowds. 3 yr old managed to walk it, and Papa on a walking stick. Liked the bus option back. too.

Saw this in a guide book and felt we had to take a look. It sounds expensive while you are at the top but once you get going the scenery and information boards let you know that you are somewhere special. Highly recommended

This hit my top ten of life experiences something not to be missed despite its pricey entrance fee, but once you see what it has to hold you don't begrudge the entrance fee. Won't tell you more as it would spoil the surprise ahead of...More
