Was worried this would be very kitschy given the title but it's actually a dry well done facility. Went early to get the 10.15 eruption of the main geyser which is a little staged to start but then a real force of nature. There is a small amphitheater where people can gather to see the "show" and most leave after... More

An amazing natural wonderland of bubbling mud pools and mineral/sulphur lakes. A must see when visiting Rotorua.

Wai-O-Tapu is an absolutely stunning place completely out of this world experience. The one thing that is a bit of putting but have no control over is the smell of the natural springs

If one has not seen any other it would be great. If one has seen to Yellow Stone then skip this. Reasonably priced admission

Wai O Tapu was recommended to is by our hotel because of its variety. We drove out and saw the geyser at 10 am then we wandered around various pools. Champagne pool and devils bath are really unique.

Really awesome half day adventure fun of the geothermal variety!! Also: Check out the mud pools nearby (which are not part of the complex and are free)

This place is always amazing. I have been many times over the years and everyone I take there is blown away. There are a various walks depending on your level of fitness or time. The cafe is great and the people who work there are more than happy to help you. Will be back.

Ok. Was somewhat disappointing although nicely set out paths Wouldn't particularly recommend going that far to see

Don't be put off by the name which sounds like somewhere you'd pick up a new boiler, this was a highlight of our trip. A unique experience of the power of the volcanic geothermal andscape with some incredible sights. If you're driving in from the south, in is worth going to this for the afternoon before you hit Rotorua itself... More
