Superb iconic building. Thank you to the front desk staff for allowing me to view the setting up of Len's new exhibition in "realtime" via the overhead fish eye .

Worth a visit even to view the outside. Unfortunately the Len Lye sculptures were on loan in Christchurch so we will be back to see them!

Stunning architecture and the best public loos in NZ! Wee bit disappointed to find that it is not a dedicated Len Lye gallery, in fact we struck the exhibition turnaround and there was nothing to see! Good documentary saved the day.

I wouldn't have expected such a special and thrilling art centre in a relatively small town like NP. And, I was positively surprised about Len Lye's art. I've never seen anything like his installations before. Kindly donate at the reception.

Just loved the different exhibits in this gallery especially the ones that moved and made a noise. I was just fascinated by how the artists could think up such amazing exhibits.

Neat place to visit and see the works of Len Lye in the gallery. Not a lot to see, however, what is on display is interesting with a video explaining his works and how he came about exploring his art movement sculptures etc. .

The modern art was a bit above my level and sometimes hard to understand, however the building design was fantastic with a bold stainless steel exterior and solid concrete interior. I only wish l had a more artistic knowledge !

The exterior of the gallery building is fascinating contemporary architecture and big favourite with curious visitors playing with their reflections as in a carnival house of mirrors. The interior of the gallery leaves a little to be desired. It is surprisingly small - or seems...More
