The park is a Great place to spend and relax. It's very peaceful and well maintained. Plus the zoo is also great with different animals. The best is the bird cage where you can encounter the different types of birds at a close range.

Pukekura Park is a beautiful park to wander through at any time, but especially when the Rhododendrons are in flower or when the light show is on, December to late January a night visit is just magical. Well worth the wander.

We always enjoy a visit to Pukekura every time we visit New Plymouth. The vista is always changing and the park is immaculately cared for, a true credit to the gardeners and grounds persons. Should be seen by everyone visiting New Plymouth.

Loved our visit to Pukekura Park. Gorgeous grounds, well maintained and so peaceful. We took a group of seniors with us. Great fountain, baby ducklings, great cafe. Lovely place for the whole family. We will return one day. Neat place to take doggies walking also.

I have always loved this park, there is so much to do there. Watch cricket, a playground for the kids. Walk and look at the gardens and tearooms as well. Fun for the whole family.

Went for a beautiful walk around Pukekura during my time in New Plymouth. There have a cafe, different trails and a small zoo to wonder around. The zoo is free of charge.

Have been to many events here but this time it was purely for a walk and we discovered a whole new place! At 6pm it was blissfully quiet and we walked around the lake and through the rhododendron dell admiring spring flowers and listening to...More
