Lava glass has 3 parts to it, a cafe (which we eat at and was quite good), the shop with the rather strange moulded glass ornaments for sale (and lots of 'no photography' signs - how this helps a business where they're trying to attract tourists i'm not sure), and the 'sculpture walk' that costs $5 to walk around the... We're from Dale Chihuly's home town so glass is all over Puget Sound. I must say -- and happily -- this was the best collection of commercially available glass I've run across. These conceptions fit homes and the colors are truly exceptional. Plus, the cafe is cozy and has good eats. Stop in just to see the art. It's not... More

Lyndon Over is the celebrated glass artist. His work is outstanding so it's worth a trip to see and feel. It is expensive and very much a collectors dream. You can also see him in action for $5 and have a look around at the glass sculptures in his garden for another $5. There's a pretty good café on site.... More

Very close to Huka falls. Lovely collection of glass with blowing demos, glass sculpture garden and a cafe that does very good coffee, savouries and cake.

Bought my mother a glass vase whose style is incredibly unique. The cafe there had a good lunch and free wifi and with my purchase I was able to watch glass blowing which I would have assumed would be free to view but alas that and the garden aren't.

Decided to pull over and take a look at this small gallery. Paid some money to watch the glass making process and then visit the small garden at the back of the compound to see nice artpieces nicely arranged. Decided to buy a souvenir back and they deducted the fee from the glass making gallery and garden entry from the... More

We called in to look at the glass works! Fabulous glassware...bought some earrings and set of 4 glasses. We both loved the Secret garden and appreciated all the work that has gone into this.

The enterprise is well organised and has countless exhibits, all a little different, and showing the talents of the onsite glass blowers. The glass garden is certainly worth a visit (at a minimal cost, or if you buy items that may give you a freebie). Also the onsite 'factory' is also very interesting with a verbal description of what the... More

Really yummy salmon salad. Fast service despite a large buload of people there at the same time. Beautiful art work to view while waiting for friend to arrive. Lovely garden setting. Although I didn't do it this time. I have previously watched a glass blowing display which was interesting and informative.
