The Botanic Gardens Cafe is a delightful place to eat. Always busy, particularly on a nice day, but both the food and the service are extremely good. The general atmosphere adds to the pleasure. Excellent place to take visitors.

Wellington really turned on the weather for us. A beautiful winters day, the sun came out and gave us a lovely day wondering around the gardens. Incredible view from the observatory/old battery. Lots of lovely picnic spots and families running a muck 😁

I often visit the botanical gardens with my kids so much to see and do. All year round. Whether going for a walk or simply using the playground it's a joy.

Free trip and amazing views across Wellington. Take the old tram and walk back down through the gardens. Lovely.

The gardens and the hothouse are nice but I wasn't that excited by it. If you really love flowers you might enjoy it more than we did.
