Visited Sunday 11th September. We caught the cable car to the top and then wondered down through the gardens back into the CDB. Any easy way to enjoy the gardens.

Lunch at the rose garden cafe was nice and the indoor display was great worth a look we took the cable car up and walked down through the garden was good. It was steep so good shoes are required.

I think it is a pleasant and peaceful place for tourists, especially travelling up in the cable car to see the view of the harbor. I live in Wellington and visit the gardens often.
