We chose a glorious spring day to go for a walk from Days bay to Eastbourne. It was so pretty, with glassy water and people busy enjoying the beach and water sport. Great coffee at a wee cafe

Its like going to a sea side holiday village. With its own beach and a wharf. Good bus service, cafes and parking. Nice bush walks too. Great when its sunny.

The East-West Ferry ($11 each way) takes you from the City across to Days Bay. It is a nice boat rip with good views of the city, harbour and Strait ferries from the water. The day I went was overcast and grey, so not the...More

Hardly worth the ferry crossing fee, almost deserted except for our fellow ferry passengers, 1 cafe shut the other over busy. Desolate windswept beach with grey sand. Walked to Eastbourne - equally as unappealing - got next ferry back!
