While in Wellington for a few days, we stopped by the Circa Theatre and picked up tickets for a couple of their shows. It's a small theatre, but the productions were innovative, funny and a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. One was a comedy horror story about Jekyll and Hyde and the other a comedy about senior... More

It's a small and cosy theatre but its a great way to experience the true cultural side of Wellington. There's a small Cafe/bar area and it has two theatres. The one I went in, 'circa 2' is comfy and intimate. I went to see Scarlet & Gold, a NZ play that focuses on the mining strikes and the struggles of... More

Husband and I enjoyed a performance of Lungs at the Circa theatre 2. This was our first visit to this theatre on the waterfront. There is a delightful charm to this intimate space. Booking done with ease online.

We were in the district of museums etc & decided to catch a play if seats were available. Bonus we bought front row seats for the nights performance of Stage Kiss. Fantastic quaint theatre that has a bar as well as snacks. The show was first class. Wonderful little theatre with friendly obliging staff.

We went to a musical play based on the works of Jane Austen that was absolutely fabulous! Had we stayed longer in Wellington, I would definitely have checked out whatever else was coming to this theatre.

If you're a theatre enthusiast, then this is your place for a regular visitor. It's literally the best theatre company in Wellington. They have a range of shows, from famous classics to Kiwi performances and children's plays. The main hall is the place where the normally stage the main program.

We have been coming back to Wellington at this time of the year for quite a few years now and always go to the Pantomine. I think Circa consistently has the best theatre in the country. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. Just wish we could come more often!
