Everything and anything goes along this strip of activity that cuts through the heart of Wellington. Plenty of bars, shops, restaurants of all shapes and sizes to cater for all tastes. Lots of interest from top to bottom.

I have walked up and down Cuba Street many times and have found it to be more popular on weekends as its where locals like to hang out. There's plenty of great places to eat and drink, along with some intriguing little shops.

Cuba Street is a brilliant area filled with bars and places to eat food from around the world. Most bars have a deal or two going most nights and there are always bars with entertainment going on until the early hours of the morning.

Spent the day strolling 10 miles around Wellington and loved Cuba Street. The atmosphere, selection of quirky shops and especially the great coffee. Well worth a visit.

Cuba street is an amazing, colourful and cultural experience. The food, the bars, the shopping ... all fantastic. If you are into music or love beautiful instruments, a trip to Alistairs Music is a very special treat and enjoyable experience. The best kept secret, Cuba Street is so special special !!!

Wellington is my favourite city/town I've visited in NZ so far and this is largely down to the ambience - Cuba Street is a major part of this. A stroll down here and/or a quick coffee in one of many establishments is a must.

I never get tired of Cuba St. Lots of quirky little shops, including a good selection of vintage and retro clothing shops. Plenty of cafes and bars - the price varies so if you're on a budget it pays to look at the menu before requesting a table. There is public seating so you can rest your weary feet and... More
