"This will possibly be the most fun you will ever have on a bike"

All of our biking tours are self-guided as we like to offer you the complete freedom to choose for yourselves which of the 17+ cellar doors you would like to visit whilst out here in Renwick.

To ensure you make the most of your precious time, we are on hand to help you plan your day based around what wines you like, how far you are happy to bike and where you fancy stopping for lunch. You won’t be under pressure to keep up with anyone else who may be starting at the same time as you - you can just take it easy, go at your own pace and your visit to each cellar door can be as long or as short as you want.

We take our host responsibility very seriously and want you, as well as everyone else around you, to stay safe. This is why we like to offer you FREE PICKUP AND DROP-OFF from your accommodation and that way you don't have to worry about drink/driving or risk riding out from Blenheim on the busy state highway 100km/h roads.

Our package includes - a choice of step-through retro cruiser bikes, including tandems and trikes with baskets on the front, hi-vis helmets, panniers that carry 4 wine bottles, a bottle of spring water, detailed winery map plus a full emergency backup service.

For those with families we have tow-alongs, trailers & child seats too if required (all free of charge).

If you want to have some laughs and get the chance to sample some beautiful wine and food, just give us a call as we would love to help make it happen for you. Cheers Steve and Jo

You get collected, you get given a bike and then you have a briefing before setting out for a day of touring and tasting incredible wines. We had a tandem bike which made it all that more interesting. Before arriving Jo was very helpful with local information and even helped to make our lunch reservation which took away any stress... Did this with my parents and sister (she's 19 and I'm 21) and we had a blast, especially on our tandem bike. We made it to five wineries and purposely went to the small family-run ones, which were all great. Especially loved that they picked up/dropped off from where we were staying and gave a great map to follow!

This is a gem of an activity in the area. I enjoyed every minute of it. Steve is an amazing guy, super helpful, super calm and just a kind-hearted positive person. He even let me have a ride with his awesome green penny farthing! Definitely recommended

We loved that they offer pick-up/drop-off service. After a harrowing seven-hour drive up to the Marlborough region from CHC, it was much appreciated that we didn't need to worry about driving after wine tasting. The bikes offer handy wine-bottle holders, sunblock and water were available, and Steve even went through the advantages of each winery to help us choose an... More

We were collected from our hotel and taken to the premises where our experience would begin. There were a varied choice of bikes available, all which were well equipped with baskets and panniers and water was provided. A informative briefing was given as to which vineyards were open, costs and the wines each vineyard specialised in. All the cellar doors... More

We had a fantastic day out with Wine Tours by Bike. My four-year old son loved the trailer bike and the flat riding was great for my seven-year old daughter. Jo & Steve made us lunch reservations in advance, pointed us to child-friendly cellar doors, and spent plenty of time ensuring the kids were stable and comfortable on their equipment.... More

Jo & Steve gave us a very warm welcome even though we just turned up on the off chance that a bike was available. Lucky for us we managed to get a tandem for the day. A very informative and light hearted welcome talk and brief equipped us with all we needed to know about the wineries in the area.... More

My wife and I were very pleased with Wine Tours by Bike. They were great in getting back to us and with our changing itinerary because of the earthquake. It also says a lot about their business that they took payment after the tour and did not require a prebooking charge like most companies. They picked us up at the... More

We were so excited to do our first tandem bike ride, but also a little nervous. Steve was helpful to us in learning the ropes and ensuring we had a safe ride. They also gave advice on the safer roads to take and info about each of the wineries, their wines and food offerings. We also liked the self guided... More
