What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. Went with social club Kings and Queens from the Clubs of Marlborough so it kept the cost down. Heaps of space on board with open air as well as inside seating. Good catering and very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend for large groups.

This can only be booked for group events now but is very worth going if you can organise it or if you get an opportunity. The food is buffet limited but tasty. Its the view and sitting outside with a good wine that is the wonder of it. Loved all the locals who waved from their homes along the river.... More

The River Queen is a fantastic venue for having some good food and a laugh with your mates. The Marlborough wine was not to be sneezed at either! Very relaxing, thanks, Ashley.

If you book for twenty or more you get it all to yourself. Awesome views and helpful staff. The food was good but eat it straight away if it'll get cold. Minor point though as you'll forget to eat as you watch the river.

Our happy group of naturists were in fine fettle arriving on board and quickly finding a comfortable space on one of the decks or the downstairs lounge to soak up some rays. All were equally as sunny. Our host, Ashley, welcomed us on behalf of the new owners and provided platters of antipasto. He then led us through a knowledgeable... More

We surprised my Dad by celebrating his 70th Birthday on a lunch cruise and had an awesome day out. The staff and cruise were great. I would recommend this cruise to anyone.

This afternoon lunch cruise was OUTSTANDING!! We sat out on the top forward deck and sipped wine as we took a leisurely meander through the vineyards on the crystal-clear river. The river is shallow, so you could see every rock and plant on the bottom, not to mention all the trout, some of them quite big! There were ducks to... More

I took my elderly mother and her friend for afternoon tea- they loved being on the boat and felt quiet special dining on the river. Also had my young grand daughter with us and she thoroughly enjoyed being on the "cafe boat". Quiet tranquil venue.

The boat is now no longer doing public tours, but is now a cafe. We stopped by as it looked like a cute place to have a coffee and cake. While the boat is nice, and the kids enjoyed getting some photos with the Captains hat, the food was only average (the smoked chicken panini tasted very old) and the... More

Thanks so much for leaving a review - it's always helpful to get feedback. Sorry you didn't enjoy every minute on board. We will be checking our coffee making and you can be assured the food - including paninis - is always fresh. We are operating as a cafe 10 - 4 each day and run cruises by appointment and... More
