Always a good place to go on a Saturday morning. Lots of food stalls, ready to eat as well as produce to buy. Go early to beat the rush and the heat.

We took a guided tour of the house and learned a lot about the history of Christchurch as well as of New Zealand. The builders and original inhabitants of the house were very instrumental in both the development of the city as well as the...More

Great informative tour and interesting natural bush walk close to the city. We were disappointed with the grounds after visiting Mona Vale we expected better. The rose garden was a pleasant place to have a coffee but the outer areas are full of weeds.More

Unfortunately we arrived too late for the conducted tour of the house which looked very grand so we settled for a light lunch on the verandah in the sun with a glass each of chardonnay.Th setting alongside the Avon is very picturesque and peaceful

A lovely place to spend an hour or so just wandering around admiring the well preserved historic, character house complete with doves and cute kitchen garden. The house is surrounded by shady woods with walkways- a section is protected from predators by enclosed fences. The...More

This location hosts the best farmers market in Christchurch. Outstanding stalls who offer a range of exciting artisan food lines and plenty of supply. Always a highlight when visiting Christchurch

The market is very popular and very busy. The place comes alive - well worth a visit.
