The kids liked it, and the playground is a good touch. The enclosure and attraction signage and organisation can be a little vague. You can be having a good look form an animal, and then eventually get to a sign that says it's vacant (at least 4) We missed out on the shuttle ride that the kids were looking forwards... More

Going to Orana Park is a great family day,a must for everyone who visits Christchurch or lives here. The animals are great to see especially the gorillas and being able to feed the giraffes is great for the children to take part in. I go at least once a year with the grand children and they always love the day... More

I would recommend a visit here. We went with 5 adults and 3 children aged 3, 5 and 7. We all had a brilliant time and the kids loved running around and seeing all the animals. They got to see the lions being fed which was amazing and also got to feed the giraffes. There is a little park there... More

We took two nieces (12 and 10), their parents, and ourselves as uncle and aunt. Long strolls through open park like areas, with a range of NZ and overseas animals in their compounds. Something more than a zoo - tigers and lions in almost savannah habitats. One of our best days out ever with their family. Go any fine funny... More

Went here on a drizzly wet Sunday and it felt like we had the entire park to ourselves, Went to the various feeding times that are clearly outlined by park staff & the map pamphlet we were given. The lions were amazing munching out on fresh meat. The giraffes cool snacking away and the cheetahs quite breathtaking as a couple... More

Sad for the price. Needs some work on the enclosures. Not the best Zoo in New Zealand. More funds for them would be nice.

Went with high hopes, and it was alright but definitely a let down. Many of the exhibits were empty, and enclosures appear to need some work. Won't be back in any rush! The animals were lovely to look at though.

As an avid zoo goer I have seen them all. This as bad as it gets. The tiger enclosure and the great apes exhibit should be closed. Some animals were presented well. At $34.00 each save your money and stop supporting the display of animals held in captivity in such outdated and cruel displays. Go to Singapore zoo and learn... More
