The building itself as many here have mentioned, is worth a look in itself. The exhibitions obviously change from time to time. On my visit there was an exhibition of New Zealand paintings which I really enjoyed. The descriptions of the paintings along with information...More

We enjoyed the building more than the exhibitions, but presumably they change them from time to time, so next time may be better. Its a very nice space, very dramatic. Its nice to see that it was designed well enough to largely escape the earthquakes.

There's a mix of interesting installations, local and international paintings, sculptures and more. Admission is...More

As I like modern and contemporary art, I could not miss this one. The gallery is a two-floor buildings and I spent about 3 hours roaming around the expositions they had. It's free and they provide brochures for all expositions.

It's so good the gallery is open again. School a beautiful building with impressive spaces. Easy to move around and between the exhibitions and different galleries. Friendly, helpful staff on hand. Great options for children too.

Really enjoyed our time here. Too much to see in one visit. Especially enjoyed the Kushana Bush exhibition. The building is worth a visit for the architecture alone.
