Great network of trails in an actively harvested forest. Fun, flowy singletrack with multiple loop options. This is just one of those places that remind you of how beautiful Christchurch and New Zealand are.So close to town so no need to pack a picnic

Fantastic walk, but take a map from the info centre and a GPS/Google maps on your phone too. We wanted to do the blue 10k walk, but had many moments of confusion and ended up doing 14k and had cut a loop from the blue...More

Great beginner single trails for mountain biking. Enough hills to keep it different and challenging and enough flat to enjoy the riding. The trail we were on took us to the beach where we had lunch before continuing the loop back to the car park....More

The bottle lake forest is a great place to go for a walk or run with your dog or horse! Great tracks for bikes too. Easy to find and close to the city. Good footwear is advised.
