Great for mountain biking and walking. MTB trails are rated intermediate and up, but aren't as intimidating as they look! You get a good view of the city if you go through the woods.

Great place to come and have a picnic/fish and chips with mates in the wood huts. Beautiful setting during sunset and amazing view of Christchurch. Gets a bit chilly during evening though.

Of the city , especially at night when it's dark . Make sure you 'wrap up' with a coat though as it can get really cold up here in the winter !

Nice view but nothing was open, except the playground. The buildings there look abandoned and derelict.

It is in a downtown closed to the Tram park.I spent an hour to walk around for some pictures, relax with beautiful flowers, trees. Many parents came with their kids for a picnic or exercise. This is very good place for walking.

I went to Victoria Park at night and it was a wonderful trek uphill and a breathtaking view of the city.

We had a family picnic here, grandchildren, parents & grandparents. Nice sheltered spot with tables. Plenty of bush walks and a good slide etc for kids to play on. Awesome views over the city.

Such a beautiful park for family's, lovely atmosphere. Includes a huge dog off leash area. Some wonderful walks around the area, I would highly recommend them. Such a gorgeous view of the whole of Christchurch, definitely a must for visitors! Not good to see the visitors Centre closed as I would have really liked a map so I could see... More

We headed up to Victoria Park for a morning hike on a fresh autumn Saturday. Parking was plentiful and the paths well marked for the most part (we got a bit confused where the walking track intersected the mountain bike trails but quickly found the correct trail). Harry Ell is my favourite trail and there were plenty of others making... More
