A magnificent look out that provides spectacular 360 degree views of Dunedin. Can be reached by either vehicle or walking (or running if you're keen). Walking is about an hour turn around from The North of Dunedin. For the best views ensure you visit in a clear day, if you are just looking for a good walk and exercise overcast/drizzly... More

Were lucky to be there, without any other visitors. Fabulous views from the top, especially on a sunny day. There is a few impressive monument expressing Dunedin's close ties with Scotland in general and Edinburgh in particular. You need a car!

This look out is a must to visit. The views are magnificent and photo opportunities abound. Obviously a clear day is preferable but the climb to the top is well worth it anyway.

A great little view spot to get some fabulous photos. Its a little drive up, but totally worth it once you are there. Free parking, then you can just walk out and admire the scenery. Stunning.

Busloads of travellers take in spectacular views from Signal Hill, Opoho, one of the highest lookout points in the hilly city of Dunedin. Flanked by memorial statues to early settlers, the lookout offers a broad vista of the Pacific and the best views of the city of Dunedin not available by helicopter! Walkers can walk it - it is steep... More

Embrace a fantastic scenery walk from the Dunedin gardens to the top of the lockout point and have a breath taking view of Dunedin and the peninsula...you may even come across some sheeps on the way. Great for mountain bikers with its various tracks. For walk lovers too!!

Fanstic views to be had up of here of Dunedin and the surrounding area. On a clear day there si no better view to be had with the ocean and harbour clearly visable. A must do if you are in Dunedin in my opinion.
