I think they refer to St Clair and St Kilda beaches. Regardless, this is the point for surfers in Dunedin. Its promenade is short, but impressive. Only few restaurants close by. Despite the cold water, it has an amazing view.

Beautiful white sand and crashing waves with lovely views. St Clair has lovely cafes which are a great place to head for a coffee with great views. Very relaxing place to visit but the water is very crispy and best left for the brave.

Stunner if you like the beach. Surf is up most of the time and it is good walking along the beach. You can watch surfers ride the waves. At any of the cafes or bars on the water front are delightful.

A wonderfull recreational area for the outdoorsman, sun seeker, shell collector or nature enthusiast. Very remote too - if you're looking for a quiet oasis for picnicing while enjoying the beautiful scenery, I would recommend Dunedin Beach.

The beach was stunning when we visited despite it being pretty wintry (it was only the first day of Spring). There were surfers out and the waves were amazing. Far too cold for swimming but a fabulous place for a picturesque walk.
