An unforgettable experience. With great confidence in the experienced driving of "Wolfie", we explored the grand Skippers canyon, visiting the sites of secluded and historical settlements and marvelling at some "Lord of the Rings" film sets. A tour not be missed!

What a gem of a tour - well worth the price and to view the history and the unspoiled scenery and vista on such a lovely afternoon was a privilege especially with Wolfy. The knowledge and skill of Wolfy can only be admired in the way he told the history but at the same time navigating the vehicle along the... More

If you go to Queenstown.....do not miss this tour of Skippers Canyon. An exciting ride on one of the most dangerous roads in the world, but the payoff is a opportunity to see some incredible vistas along the way. Our guide, Wolfgang, was knowledgeable and very accommodating. There are plenty of opportunities to stop and take all the pics you... More

This approx 4 hour journey into Skippers Canyon was truly incredible, to have the opportunity to be shown & educated about the discovery of gold in the Shotover river, was a true pleasure, the hardships that were dealt with by these early explorers was amazing & to see how the gold was mined in later years including the environmental destruction... Exciting trip along narrow roads close to the edge of the canyon by minibus. Driver gave us good information all along the way, stopping frequently for us to take photos. Stopped for a break at the top where the driver opened the boot and offered wine and nibbles, very civilised! Long drop loo wasn't quite as civilised by there was... More

We were told this Tour combined driving along one of New Zealand's narrowest dirt roads with sheer 200 metre plus drops on one side down to the Canyon below and steep rocky hills on the other side. Our expert Driver ( Dave ) handled even the tightest bends with ease and even backed up 50 metres at one time to... More

We had a fantastic time on this tour. Arthur our guide and driver was very knowledgeable about the area and was an expert driver on the narrow canyon roads. The scenery was breathtaking and the wine and cheese was a nice touch.

The only negative I have for this tour is that I was expecting a smaller 4WD vehicle, not a bus. That being said it was still awesome from the views to the jet boat ride. The views are amazing, the stories informational, the jet boat ride FANTASTIC! We also had tea and a tour of some old gold mining relics... More
