Professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the varieties of grapes and wines this Vineyard grows and makes. We sampled 11 different varieties and vintages with an end result of purchasing our favourites and some lovely Brennans wine glasses. The setting was lovely with stunning mountain and grape vine views. Outdoor seating enabled you to soak up the views and a... More

If you're passing through, stop at Brennan. Our host Hannah was knowledgeable and friendly. Their wines were good though I did find the tasting price a little steep ($15 for 6 or $20 for the range...redeemable on a purchase of 2 bottles). We did enjoy their pinots and tempranillos.

This was the last winery we visited in Gibbston Valley, we enjoyed a tasting full of facts from our host and found the wines to be accurately described, we purchased a number of bottles to be saved for special occasions. Small, new and smart, well worth going slightly out of your way to get to.

Pros Interesting wines with some unusual varietals. Knowledgeable staff. Nice outdoor seating with petanque. Platter options that looked good. Close to Queenstown Cons $15 to taste 6 wines or $20 for the range (refundable with a purchase of 2 x bottles) seems a tad high if you are not interested in the varietals.

Beautiful setting to try the wines. Staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Not used to having to pay for wine tastings though, we often go wine tasting in Australia and this always free!

Brennan Wines is in the Gibbston Valley and is well worth a visit if you like your Pinots. They won a gold medal for their 2014 B2 Pinot and in my opinion their 2010 and 2011 Pinots are even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Jose and a delicious platter at a picnic table whilst we admired the views.... More

I thought this was a lovely spot. Beautiful outdoor picnic areas and some nice wines. The pick of the wines for us was the rose, but the gerwertz blend and top of the range Pinot also held their own. If you are on the road and looking for a picnic spot this would be a must do.

After trying Brennan wines in Auckland I sought out this little gem of a winery to try the whole range. Just 30 minutes or so drive from queenstown. Josie is a fantastic host, very knowledgable and accomodating. Don't miss this winery!
