Lunch was lovely and well presented. The wine tasting, however, left a lot to be desired. Having recently done a number of tastings in Hawkes Bay and Otago over the previous week it was disappointing to find a winery that couldn't be bothered to go through their wines with you but instead just gave a tasting sheet and you had... We hired bikes to ride around the Gibbston Valley area, which was very scenic. This winery has more on offer than the average, with their wine cave tour and a variety of platters (some with matching wines) and wine flight options.

My Fiancé stopped off at the Gibbston Valley Winery for a short break to a long drive. I had been advised this Winery had recently won a prestigious Wine Award. I can see why. From the moment we walked in the front door the Kiwi hospitality was to the fore. As we were not on an organised "tour", initially we... More

We visited several of the wineries located along SH6 outside Queenstown and by far our favorite stop was here. We skipped the cave tour which seemed incredibly crowded and stuck to the tasting room, which was fairly empty. The staff was very friendly and provided us with a few extra varieties to sample beyond the listed tasting options. Ended up... More

We stopped here on the way to Queenstown driving from Cromwell. We hadn't booked but were able to join the Wine Cave tour that runs on the hour. There were only two others although the guide was expecting a bus of wine tour people to arrive. They missed this tour. It costs $15 and I thought it was worth it... More

Unfortunately customer service was quite poor from our experience during busy times. $10 to taste 3 wines quite steep and felt the whole operation was very commercialized with wine tours stopping one after another. Would recommend other options with arguably superior wine options such as Mt. Difficulty, Wooing Tree, Akarua, Arum wines to name a few in nearby Cromwell. They... More

Great little winery not far from Queenstown with superb wines and even a cheesery! Lovely way to spend an hour or two on a gorgeous day.
