The original Remarkable Sweetshop is located in the historic mountain village of Arrowtown, high in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. Not far from here is the second Remarkable Sweetshop in Beach Street Queenstown. Here you can watch our world famous fudge being made, and sample some too. Some classic confectionary here that I'd forgotten so worth a visit if time permits. Staff were friendly and not pushy. Came away with my daily sugar fix

Went here after reading the reviews but found the chocolate too too sweet. Liked the whitakers more. The loose candies were good but nothing great for the price.

The fudge was nice, but you can get good fudge elsewhere. What really annoyed me was that although things were branded with Remarkables sweetshop, they are not actually made there. So you pay good money (being Queenstown), but then when you read the print on the back it's all made in Australia, rip off

They specialize in American and English candies. I was hopeful that they would have more New Zealand inspired sweets. Still, a very fun place to... More

A mate of mine and I came in late one night and spent about half an hour speaking to Dan and Ariel, awesome store and awesome service. Dan was working in the Airport store the day after and found and returned my boarding pass after I dropped it as well, I guess it was lucky we spent so much time... More
