Had a great weekend in beautiful Te Anau. Lake swimming! Jet boat! Bike rides! Track walking! And some pretty tasty food. And the best thing was that mountains the held the rain at bay on Sunday. No sandflies either.... better and better!

The walk beside the lake is beautiful and a must do if you are in Te Anau. We walked from the town centre, along the lake to our accomodation in the new subdivision. It is a very easy flat track. In some places the track splits into two and you might find yourself on the the road side, so watch out for vehicles.…

A lovely walking track at the lake front offering views of the lake and spots to sit and enjoy. Seems well maintained too. On a blue sky day, we were lucky as there was not many people around and it was wonderful.

We came to Te Anau to go to Milford Sound but didnt realise has stunning Lake Te Anau is, espeically on a lovely still morning. Loved it

Large beautiful lake surrounded with mountains and fjords. I has the luck to see it from above during helicopter flight.
