The chairs are luxury and very comfy to sit in. This boutique cinema is cozy and great to go to. I've bene here a few times and enjoyed it every time. The staff is friendly and the popcorn is tasty. The only downside is that they turn off the popcorn machine, so at the intermission for night time movies, you... More

We went to watch a short film with aerial images of Fiordland National Park. It was a really good introduction to the area. Even better was being able to have a glass of wine and sit in really comfortable seats whilst watching the film. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful little cinema in the heart of Te Anau. Watched the short Fiordlands film during the day - wonderful scenery and soundtrack. Returned in the evening to watch a current release movie. The theatre is small with wide comfortable seating. The staff were very friendly and willing to answer questions and give information. Book early if it is a rainy... More

This 30/40 minute movie is filmed from a helicopter and shows the dramatic views of the Fiordlands in its varying seasons. The movie has been made with the assistance of the helicopter pilot, of course, and a creative director/scene creator involved with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings movies 🎥 Order a cup of coffee as you enter... It's just a short film but well worth taking the time to view the footage that has been taken and put together to showcase the Fiordland area. The footage has been taken from a helicopter so go, see, and enjoy the ride!

After drying off by the fire in The Black Dog Bar, we purchased cinema tickets to see Ata Whenua - Shadowland, 'Fiordland on Film', which is situated in the same complex. We took the opportunity to take a glass of wine in with us and enjoyed this film immensely - we didn't want it to end! A 'must see' in... More

The 32 minutes Fiordland on film (Ata Whenua) is a must do when in town. The scenery was absolutely amazing. The cinema was lovely and seats were very comfortable. The bar attached to it was also quaint. Enjoy as we did.
