the road to milford is spectacular, everywhere you stop has something different. There are waterfalls, rivers, swing bridges, lookouts etc.

This park is on the way to Milford sound and it's really worth all the time you can spend. Most tourist buses try to hurry up in this area. Unless you drive, it's hard to spend time here.

Take advantage of Milford and Doubtful Sounds! The Milford Sound Rd. has many beautiful pull offs and shorts walks to see things. Stop at The Chasm, Mirror Lakes, Humboldt Falls! Winter means road can be closed due to weather - keep an eye out.

It takes a couple of hours from Te Anau to get to Milford Sound, so this is an excellent time to enjoy the beauty of this National Park.
