We just did a short three hour hike on part of the track and it was absolutely stunning! We had the perfect weather which definitely helps and I found the walk fairly easy (my parents struggled a little bit on the uphill section) It is appropriate for all ages and I recommend taking a little picnic to the top to... Being from Colorado, my husband and I are avid hikers and we were really excited to do this three-day hike. The weather forecasts for our hike were full of rain, wind, and cold temps, but luckily we ended up with gorgeous weather for the majority of the three days. As one of the shorter Great Walks, we were able to... More

We hiked the Routeburn from The Divide to Routeburn Shelter. We hired EasyHike to relocate our car for the trip. Bobbi at EasyHike couldn't have been more helpful in planning our trip. The hike took us 11.5 hours including lots of breaks for photos, food, resting legs, etc. My wife and I are in reasonably good shape, and it was... More

Just incredible! Got lucky with weather and enjoyed very much staying in the DOC huts. Beautiful views and forest the whole way. Used EasyHike car relocation service which was so convenient. Great to finish the hike and have our car waiting for us at the end with freedom to explore Milford at our own pace after the hike.

Another great Ultimate Hikes trek. Somewhat more difficult than previous treks this trek did not disappoint. From the initial briefing, coach transfers to and from, the lodges, the food and beverages and lastly the wonderful guides led by the amazing Sadao who is an absolute asset to the organisation. We could not have wanted for one other thing - each... More

I tramped this over the weekend and I fell in love. The scenery was unlike anything I'd ever seen in my life. The huts were extremely well kept. I met some incredibly amazing people, all were so friendly. The memory of this track will forever be one of the best.

Walked as a family (16 yr old daughters first major tramp). Second visit for me .. but was totally different experience. Went against the flow as we walked from the Divide to the Routeburn Shelter (but still think it's the better way to go!!). Busy track, so husband not used to seeing so many people when out in the hills,... More

Just completed this walk and have high praise for everyone I booked with - Ultimate HIkes, DOCs, Trackhopper - all were fantastic. There are so many ways/different budgets to do this hike, ours was a mix of top end and basic..... Our group of 7 were split into 3 doing the luxury category (with Ultimate Hikes) with the other 4... It was our first multi day hike and we didn't quite know what to pack, what to do with the car etc so we decided to go with the premium package offered by Easyhike. Easyhike made it possible for us to hike the track (we did it in three days, they booked the hut tickets, provided gear and food and... More

This is my first NZ great walk! I have chosen the bad weather but despite the rain I had seen the best of the track! I started at the Divide along Milford Road all the way up to the Shelter (Glenorchy side). It was a 32km walk one way. Highlights of my walk are (not in particular order) (1) Earland... More
