This is one of the most under utilised facilities in Dubbo. A great resource, with great staff who are always helpful and tolerant of the occasional naughty younger ones. There are the books, e books, audio books, DVDs , cd's , newspapers, magazines and probably loads of other stuff to see and do. Do yourself a favour and visit this... More

We didn't spend much time here (not locals) but we would drop in every day quite a few hours for a week at least - we needed to use the wifi for our job search since our job at a local hotel turned out a Real Failure. The library usage is free, so is the wifi. And it has good... More

I love the library. It's a very interesting place. Apart from books there is so much to 'check out'. Talking books (great for when the radio gets to boring in the car) DVD's, surf the 'net', read the paper. In the sweltering Dubbo heat it's a great air conditioned place to escape to. Clean toilets, vending machine with drinks and... More

Recently I paid a visit to the Macquarie Regional Library looking for a book that a friend had said I would enjoy. When asking staff they advised that they did not have the book in Dubbo but did have a copy at another branch and that they would get it for me. In a few days they rang to tell... More

Love this place, so helpful, so up to date. I am able to download all my fav magazines, and just love being able to borrow audio books to play on our car trips. I even have a second book playing it at night with my ear phones using the sleep minutes function. So easy and so fab...

The Staff are lovely here, its got plenty of resources and offers plenty of services, with a wide variety of reading material as per usual. Plenty of activities for the kids, even reading groups, they also offer groups for the older people interesting in learning with computers occasionally.

They provide a wide selection of reading materials, along with DVD and other media rentals. Staff are helpful and will help you find what you're looking for, even getting it in from another library if possible for you. There's a nice kids area for them to sit and look at books without interrupting/ disturbing others.

I am in Dubbo Library every week. Such helpful friendly staff. Loads for kids to do, Computers to use and great books and media or all types. I also enjoy the history cabinets and changing displays. They have loads of school holiday activities for the kids and lessons for adults as well. Everyone in the community should support the local... More
